Menudo restaurant
Your first stop in Mexico City is a menudo restaurant. Filled with classics, this is a perfect place to dip your toes to see if you can face the spice of the town! Here's what's on the menu:

Menudo
Menudo is a traditional Mexican soup made with beef and red chili pepper base giving it that strong red color. To prepare a bowl:
- Tap the menudo fixings found under the counter in the center. This will look like a bowl of vegetables.
- When the fixings are done cooking in the pot, tap on the pot to move the soup to a bowl.
- Tap the bowl to serve the customer.
While menudo is delicious on its own, the rich flavors improve when toppings are added. Customers can choose between tortilla chips, crackers, and cilantro. To add the tortilla chips or cilantro, just tap on the ingredient located on the counter in the center in bowls.
You'll have to prepare your own crackers. To do this, tap the cracker maker located under the counter in the center. Once the crackers are done, they'll automatically fill the bowl above. Just tap the bowl of crackers to add it to the soup.
Pan de Muerto
Día de los Muertos is an important holiday in Mexico where families gather to remember their loved ones who have passed away. Pan de Muerto is a sweet bread baked during the weeks leading up the this holiday. To make Pan de Muerto:
- Tap the oven located under the counter on the left.
- Tap the oven when the Pan de Muerto is done baking to move it to a plate.
- Tap the plate to serve the customer.
Customers will be able to ask for sides with this dish. The sides are cream and fruit. Just tap on the ingredient you'd like to add from the plates located on the left on the counter.
Churros
Of all the delicious desserts this world has to offer, nothing tastes quite as wonderful as a freshly fried churro. To make a churro:
- Tap the churro fryer located under the counter on the right.
- tap the fryer to move them to a platter.
- Tap the platter to serve the customer.
To add extra flare, customers can order their churros with chocolate glaze or fruit glaze. To add either of these glazes, tap the glaze located under the counter on the right next to the churro fryer.
Hibiscus tea
Hibiscus tea can be served either hot or cold. Here, you'll be serving it iced! To serve tea, tap on the tea glass.
Tips & tricks
Unlike other dishes in Cooking Craze, which ding when they’re finished cooking, the churros don’t make a sound when they’re done. It’s easy to forget they’re frying, so keep an eye on them!
Pan de Muerto doesn’t need to be tapped to move it from the Pan de Muerto oven, which means you don’t have to keep an eye on it while it’s baking.
Hibiscus tea refills without prompting, so it’s the easiest way to form combinations in the first restaurant. Wait until several customers have ordered tea and then fill their orders in quick succession.
Taco shop
Your next stop is a taco shop! Customers will be coming in for a quick bite to eat, or for a relaxing, homey sit down meal. Here's the menu:
- Pozole

Pozole
Nothing hits the spot quite like a fresh bowl of pozole. Pozole means hominy is Spanish and is appropriately made with hominy, often times with meat, and can be seasoned and garnished with various veggies. To make some for your customers:
- Tap the pozole fixings located under the counter on the right in a big bowl. This will move the ingredients to the pot above.
- When the pozole is finished cooking, tap the pot to move it to a bowl.
- Tap the bowl to serve the customer.
Pozole can be eaten on its own, but you can also add different toppings and ingredients to increase its savory flavor. The toppings are avocado, radishes, and chicken. To add any of these toppings, just tap on the ingredient located in bowls on the counter on the right.
Tacos
Can anyone ever have only one taco? This shop will keep you busy with the taco orders piling up! To make a taco:
- Tap the taco meat located under the counter towards the left on a cutting board. This will move it to the grill.
- While the meat is grilling, tap the tortillas located under the counter on the right of the cutting board. This will move a tortilla to a plate.
- Once the taco meat is finished grilling, and a tortilla is on a plate, tap the meat to move it to the plate.
- Tap the plate to serve the customer.
Tacos are even better when toppings with delicious garnishes. Customers can choose from chickpeas, chili, and onions. To add either of these toppings, just tap on the ingredient from the plates on top of the counter towards the left.
Fruit platter
Nothing can really compare to a fresh fruit platter filled with juicy colors and tangy flavor! Your platter will include pineapple, papaya, and grapefruit. To create a platter:
- Tap the correct fruit located in bowls on the left side of the counter:
- The pineapple is under the counter.
- The grapefruit and papaya are on top of the counter.
- Tap the platter when it's done to serve the customer.
Horchata
Horchata is a yummy treat made from rice and sweet ingredients. To serve a customer simply tap the horchata glass located on the counter to the left.
Tips & tricks
Since horchata glasses refill automatically, and because the fruit for fruit platters doesn’t have to be cooked, both dishes are the easiest way for you to make combination orders.
Wait until several customers want horchata and fruit. Prepare the fruit quickly, then tap the orders to serve the customers in quick succession.
It costs the same amount (3,500 Coins) to upgrade the grapefruit, the papaya, and the pineapple for the first time. Slices of grapefruit and papaya will go from earning you five coins to earning you six. Pineapple, however, will go from earning you four coins to earning you six, making it a better deal than the first two fruits.
Tamale stand
A tamale stand will be a great way to wrap up your visit to Mexico City. Here's the menu:

Pollo asado
Asado can be served with various kinds of meat. You'll be using chicken to make pollo asado. The meat is skewered on a metal frame called an asador and is roasted by placing it next to a slow-burning fire. To make pollo asado:
- Tap the chicken located under the counter on the left. This will move the meat to the grill above.
- When the chicken is done grilling, tap on it to move it to a plate.
- Tap the plate to serve the customer.
A hearty dish wouldn't be complete with some fresh sides. Customers can ask for zucchini, onion, and orange slices. To add any of these sides, just tap on them from the plates to the right of the grill.
Tamale
Tamales can have fillings ranging from meats to cheeses, and fruits to vegetables. Usually steamed in a corn husk or banana leaf, the rapping can be thrown away or used as a plate! To make one for a customer:
- Tap the corn husks located under the counter in the center.
- Once the husks are done preparing tap the the platter located next to the husks to move the tamale to the steam cooker.
- Tap the steam cooker to move the tamale to a plate.
- Tap the plate to serve the customer.
Tamales can be served with a variety of toppings and sides. These include beans, salsa verde, and limes. To add any of these to the tamale, just tap on the ingredient from the middle on the counter.
Baked pumpkin
Baked pumpkin can be a sweet treat after such hearty dishes in the tamale stand. To prepare baked pumpkin:
- Tap the pumpkin oven located in the lower right corner.
- When the oven is done it will move the pumpkin to a plate. Tap the plate to serve your customer.
What's a sweet dish without more sweets?! You can add even more goodies to an order of baked pumpkin. This includes marshmallows and calaveras. To add either addition, simply tap the treat located on the counter on the right.
Atole
A traditional hot corn and masa (corn flour) based beverage, atole is very popular during Christmas time! When a customer orders a glass, just tap on the atole glass located on the counter to the right.
Tips & tricks
Whenever you move a tamale to the steam cooker, tap on the corn husks again. Since the corn husks must be made into tamales before they can be cooked in the steam cooker, this ensures you don’t run out of tamales during a rush!
